This is from the Greek government outlining protocols for arrivals & departures. It says in the last but one paragraph that if arrivals are found to have COVID (after sample testing arrivals), the traveller and their escorts are transported to a quarantine hotel. I would assume (& it is only an assumption) that if COVID is contracted during the stay that the same protocol would apply.

You could send an email (or contact via FB.Twitter etc) to [email protected] to ask the question, they might know the official answer or direct you to an official source for the answer.

If your son tested positively in April for antibodies he may have had COVID-19 and could still test positively on a standard test for up to 3 months. He may wish to test now just to be certain he doesn't have a positive result before you make further plans.

If someone tests positive while in Hawaii they will need to spend ten days in a hotel approved for quarantine, at their own cost. They will face arrest and significant fines if they leave quarantine. The quarantine period will last for ten days, regardless of whether the trip was intended to be fewer days.

We are not playing over here. Have your son get vaccinated, then visit us.
