Positano Hotel Choices

I don't think I can go to Italy without visiting Positano, even though it is out of the way on my itinerary....it just sounds too gorgeous! I have been poking around for hotels & here are my choices:

VILLA NETTUNO: 2 rm suite for $160E
HOTEL ALBERGO CALIFORNIA: $275E Quad Ocean View Room (original wing?)
VILLA FRANCA: $260E Annex Quad Panoramic view of "town" with side view of sea...

Which one has the best view? Why Villa Nettuno so inexpensive? Anyone know if these hotels have pools? Good A/C?

I know that Villa Franca is lovely and has a roof top pool.

While we stayed in Praiano, I BELIEVE the Villa Nettuno may be a little ways out of town and to far to walk int?? Check its location.

Hi..Check out Buca di Bacco. I think all the rooms have a sea view. We stayed there and were very happy in one of their mid-priced rooms.

If you are driving be sure to get directions to parking thru your hotel. It is very difficult.

Tin: I agree with GBC 100%..Buca is right smack on the beach, private terraces with most rooms..we paid 180E's two years ago...rooms are beautifully decorated and good sized, staff very helpful, free internet..included breakfasts are sumptuous, on terrace

We stayed at Albergo California 3 years ago and really liked it-good location, HUGE rooms and bathrooms by Italy standards, nice big "porch" with a decent view if you don't have your own balcony and a beautiful view, plus free parking if you have a car. I would definately recommend it.
