Positan Hotel Advice
My wife and I will be staying in Positano this Sept for 4 nights (our first time to the Amalfi coast). We are trying to decide between the following three Hotels: Palazzo Murat, Hotel Marincanto, and Hotel Poseidon (Hotel Buca di Bacco did not have availability). We want a good location, with easy access to shopping, restaurants, transportation, etc. The view is important as well, but we do not want to be too high up in the hills...which will be both tiring, and an inconvenience for us.
We are used to staying in nicer hotels....if one of these hotels in more luxurious, please let us know.
I read the hotel reviews on tripadvior and all three get rave reviews. If anyone has first hand knowledge of these hotels, their location, and would like to express their opinions, thoughts, etc....we would greatly appreciate that.
Thanks so much in advance for your help.

I've stayed in Hotel Poseidon (3 times) and absolutely love it, but you have to be willing to take a mini-hike back and forth to town. That being said, the jr. suites, the views (!), the food (!!!!) and the staff make up for the inconvenience. The hotel is quietly luxurious- nothing over the top-, but a solid 4-star, with a small gym and pool on site.
If you want something with less walking, closer to ground level, look at Palazzo Murat.

Thanks...all.
Lifeman - I am leaning towards the Palazzo Murat because of its location. How were the rooms? Breakfast? Service? etc.
Are most of the restaurants, shops, etc at beach level...or are they located up the hills as well?
Thanks again.
