Portugal 47 Celsius

Hi

Portugal has a new record temperature for
July 47C or 116.6 F.
https://www.theportugalnews.com/news/2022-07-15/portugal-hits-47c/68702

For those that are going to be in Portugal it might be wise to speak to your doctor about such high temperatures and how to cope with them or if you should cancel your travel.

Remember, not every building/apartment/house has air conditioning.

Happy travels

It is not that hot on the coast. Having said that, the place I usually stay in Porto does not have air conditioning. It has super thick walls and is usually pretty cool but I would not want to be there right now.

Much of Europe is experiencing really high temperatures and wildfires. There have been a couple of accidents with collapsing glaciers, the Po has nearly dried up and it is expected to be 40C in the UK by Sunday.
Not so hot here I am happy to say.
Air conditioning just adds to the problem.
Climate change is fast becoming a climate disaster.

You are correct maybe time to stop taking vacations half way across the world.
