What is the best way to get from the port to the train station to take the Circumvesuviana?

See my reply to your other post. If you want to do Vesuvius, Pompei and Herculaneum in 12 hours, I suggest a driver for the day.

If you just want to get to Pompei and/or Herculaneum on the Circumvesuviana, first research the opening times for both sights at the time of year of your visit. No point in getting there hours before opening time. Then, my choice would be to take a taxi to the train station. When on a tight time and sightseeing schedule, you don't want to risk getting lost on a bus.

get off ship, exit port on your left is small cafe get ticket less than 1e exit to center of street bus
trolley platform take the #1 it stops right in front of Circumvesuviana entry.
