The idea of wanting AC on a boat is pretty incredible to me. Being on the water is the absolutely coolest place in the city, and you might even want a little heat at night.

Since you have free parking at Austerlitz, a car could be a remarkable advantage if you want to take a few trips out of the city. Not Versailles, of course, since you have the RER C right there, but if you wanted to visit Pierrefonds or Chantilly or Senlis or Giverny by car, you would have a spectacular time, to name just a few places.
