What type of plus to carry to Italy for gadget charging. I have apple products like iPhone and iPad. Do i need to carry a adapter as well. Please advise. Thank you!

I think you just need a plug adapter, don't believe Apple needs any voltage converter. We have never needed one.

I use an inexpensive adapter plug into which I plug a USB multiple charger so we can charge up to five devices like phones, iPads, and cameras while using only one outlet.

What Janisj posted... I have 2 of them (sometimes the outlets are quite recessed)...you can get them for a few dollars and it's all you need in most European countries. Love the USB charger idea.

Of course you need an adapter. You do NOT need a converter.

Get something that plugs into the wall and has a bunch of USB ports.

This holds 5 USB cords: Anker 40W 5-Port High Speed Desktop USB Charger (from amazon). Then all you need is a single plug adaptor for Italy.

The link offered by cafegoddess doesn't work for Europeans, but I searched for "electric adapters" and found some big heavy expensive "universal" adapters. Someone gave me one of those for Christmas once, but I prefer to use the cheap simple ones like those indicated by janisj. The big ones are heavy, and tend to hang loose in some outlets, and are too bulky for others, especially if you need to share a dual outlet with a lamp. I'm shocked at what my friend must have spent for that little stocking stuffer.

What Ackislander and happytourist posted. You can plug in cables, USB - mini or micro USB, or USB - Lightning, or USB - whatever and charge 5 devices at the same time. There are a few versions of this on Amazon. We charge iPads, iPhones, Kindles, etc. overseas with no problem.
