The Boyne View in Slane, Co. Meath is an old stone building right on the river Boyne. We didn't stay there (full) but it looks like a wonderful place. Good luck! Book early. MG

I stayed at evergreen and can say that the host is wonderful. It is down a smaller road a bit with not too much scenery but Olive (?) surely made up for it.

I've also read favorable comments on Rockside house.

We stayed at Rockside House in Cashel when we were there in July and were very pleased. The rooms were large, very clean, and airy. Our rooms had a view of the Rock, although you had to crane your neck a bit to see it from the windows because it towers above you. The B&B is located right at the base of the Rock. We took our coffee outside early in the morning, sat on a bench, and spent an hour gazing up at it in the quiet time before the visitors began to arrive. Also lovely when it's lit up at night.

avoirgold, I am also using CIE vouchers... where did you decide to stay in Cashel and why; if you don't mind me asking? I am leaning toward Rockside, but would love more info. Can't seem to find a website for them. Would certainly help. Have a great trip!

Hi sjbisanz1, I tried to book Rockside but they didn't have any availability. We ended up booking with Ashmore House. We won't be there until 10/19 so I don't know yet first hand, but they were recommended by Joan at Rockside as an alternative since they didn't have any rooms open. Hope this helps.

Actually, from the pics. that I have seen, Ashmore was my second option. Like the Cashel Palace but hate paying a supplement with the vouchers! Doing it in Dublin just to be downtown, but nowhere else. We will be there 11/19. Would love to hear on your return what you thought of the place. Have a wonderful trip!
