please help me choose rome apartment

I have found a few short-stay (2 night) apt rentals, and was hoping i might get some feedback from you experts...

1. www.vrbo.com/104889

2. http://www.initaly.com/info/apts/vat...vaticandet.htm

3. http://www.initaly.com/info/apts/vat...vaticandet.htm

All the apartments have a/c .

#3 is near Trevi fountain -- not sure if location is as good.

reviews for all are sparce.

I REALLY would appreciate any feedback!
thanks!

2 and 3 link to the same page, neither of which is an actual apartment.

For apt. 1, do you know what floor it is on? It doesn't seem to have an elevator.

OOPS!

the initaly apt links are to the same one.

#3 should be: http://www.initaly.com/info/apts/trevif/trevif.htm

but they are links to the apts. one is called "vatican vistas" and the other is called "trevi fountain". you have to click on photos or reviews or to get more information.

good question about which floor for #1. i have no idea!!

Dina,

Have you checked slowtrav.com? They have many, many reviews of Rome apts from posters. You might even find these specific apts. Or you coud post a message asking for feedback. It is a very active board.

The Vatican Vistas one is near the Campo dei Fiori, so very centrally located. Love that rooftop terrace. It would be great in the summer. In fact, any time but winter. It would nice if it was furnished with a bit more than 2 park benches.

The Trevi one does sound quiet. Rome can be noisy with vespas, cars and just people. But airconditioning will obviate that. The area around the Trevi Fountain is crammed with people in the summer. You might have to edge around all those people.

The VRBO one seems a bit of a cave. Maybe just looks out on a small courtyard. I'd like more light and ideally a view.

All of these are very centrally located. And the last 2 require a climb. You don't seem to mind.

thanks again.

We just stayed in this apartment for the Christmas/New Year's holiday. It is a fabulous location - on a quiet residential street very near Campo de Fiori. It is on the first floor (not the ground floor), but there is an elevator.

thanks, maestrott. it has lots of fantastic reviews.
funny - there is no air conditioning listed, but reviewers in the summer said the apt was cool in the summer.
i'll check it out.
