Thanks for the advice but Princessa 3 is not on my list of apartments that I'm looking at.
I don't care about a phone since I don't have anyone to call in Spain. My mobile does not work in Europe. I talk to myself, that's good enough for me and cheaper too!
I never rented an apartment with a washer that had an instruction manual in any lanuage so you're one up on me!

I have stayed in Praincessa 1 and used. Habitat on two other occasions.
We also renteapt. In Madrid from Spain Select ...rental apt. seldom have phones .
for obvious reasons.
As Cowboy said, in old parts of Barcelona like El Born the streets are inevitable narrow.
