We are going to Budapest on Thursday, staying 5 days before a Viking Cruise. Already have a full itinerary planned, as there is much to see. Staying on Pest side at Roombach hotel. Very good rates. Check out their website for concierge suggestions re: what to see. Hope this helps.

Good idea from Lydia of going to an area of France. I have not been to the areas she mentioned, but since you thought Tuscany was pretty, I think you would enjoy any area of France and it would be cooler than Rome.
