I've traveled in Europe, including Paris and London, with two very athletic, energetic kids for the past 17 years, and I can tell you you are heading for Whine City. Too much!

Others have given you great advice. Here's mine: The Arc de Triomphe is not a big deal for kids (or for me either, actually). You can see it fine from the top of the Eiffel Tower. So you can skip that. The Champs Elysées is just a huge boulevard with a lot of American-type stores on it - I know you didn't mention this, but since it runs into the Arc de Triomphe thought I'd mention it. You can see it, too, from the Tour Eiffel.

The Louvre is vast and the Mona Lisa disappointing. If your daughter likes art (does she like the Impressionists?), take her to the d'Orsay or one of the smaller museums like the Marmottan or Jeu de Paume.

Bus # 69 goes by a lot of the major sites in Paris and only costs one bus ticket - about a euro. It's a better deal in your limited timeframe than the 24-euro OpenBus tour. You can also use the Batobus to zigzag down the river from one sightseeing venue to another.

Kid-friendly restaurants - honestly, we've never gone to a restaurant in Paris with our kids that we didn't find kid-friendly, but if your kids are squeamish about certain foods or can't sit at the table for dinner an hour and a half or more, you may want to stick to chains like the Brioche d'Or for sandwiches and salads, the cafeteria Flunch, or Hippopotamus.
When my kids were the ages of yours they adored Le Croque au Sel on the rue Ste-Dominique in the 7th, off Avenue Bosquet because in addition to whatever was on the menu, the waiters would happily take special requests from them - like a cheese omelette with two orders of rice, which was my daughter's favorite meal for something like five months one year - and they had a special of, at the time, 59 francs if you ordered before 8 pm. It's still there and still very kid-friendly.

But in all likelihood with your very limited time there, restaurant suggestions are kind of a waste of time, because you'll end up just finding some place when you're hungry depending on where in the city you are.

Have a great trip!

St.Cirq has a great tip about taking a city bus #69...Thanks, I'm glad to know that. We've been to Paris 5 times and London a little more (but short trips each) and we usually take the metro. Knees have gone bad, and one has been replaced and I KNOW there are too many steps in the metro.
Thought we'd try to city bus this NOv. in Paris. Is there another good one also like the #69. Good way to get an over view,,,altho the hop on/hop off is great also.
In LONDON I believe it is the #11 from Victoria Station(and another one I forget) bus stop and goes by many important and interesting of lOndon sites...and nice to do the first day after arriving,(and it's fun to sit on top,)This gives a good overview of London hustle and bustle.
Of course walking is good for the first day also...keeps one awake.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. I am now 2 1/2 weeks til takeoff and am starting to breathe again. (I was having great stress over planning.) I now have my abbreviated itinerary (with additional items if time) and plan to relax and see some sights (I keep telling myself that it is a vacation) We will see as much as we can without being crazy and just enjoy the fact that we are there.
Can't wait to go!!
