Please Help!!!
I am a 1st time visitor to Italy, and I am trying to put together some day trip ideas for the Amalfi Coast area. We will be staying in Positano for four days, and Capri for two days. An ultimate trip would be exploring authentic cultural areas, as well as shopping and cafe's. Can anyone please help with some ideas. Also I am having a hard time figuring out how to catch the hydrofoil from the Naples airport. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi! Pompei is not too far away. Sorrento is a beautiful place to visit with many shops and cafes and of course, Naples has a great many cultural places to visit. The question is if you want to relax or "pound the pavement" to see all the sights... Good luck with your planning.

Prov - There is a half-hourly Airport Shuttle bus service (Alibus) from the airport to Piazza Municipio, close to the Beverello dock - from where hydrofoils to Capri depart.
Alternatively the ANM bus No 3S also runs this route, with departures appprox every 10 mins.
Hope this helps ...

Hi Prov,
From Positano you can take the ferry to Salerno.
The train station is about 3 blks from the ferry dock.
Train to Paestum for the oldest Greek ruins outside Greece.
Train back to Salerno and take the SITA bus back to Positano via Amalfi.
Ferry schedules Positano – Amalfi - Salerno (P.zza della Concordia):
