Please advice on Spain itinerary

I am planning a 13 days trip to Spain in late May.
Will stay in Madrid for 4 nights with side trips to Toledo and Segovia. Than will take a train to Seville with stop in Cordoba for a couple of hours.
Will stay 2 nights in Seville and then my original plan was to stay 1 night in Granada , rent a car and drive along the coast to Barcelona with 2 nights along the shore.
To complete the trip we will stay 4 nights in Barcelona.
Yesterday thanks to your advices I have booked airline tickets from Granada to Barcelona, to avoid the driving and realized that water might be to cool for swimming in the early June.
Now I have 2 extra nights, and need your advice, should I stay 2 nights in Seville and 3 nights in Granada, or the opposite, and if I stay 3 nights in Granada, wouldn't it be to much?, any side trips?, is it possible to rent a car there for a day and drive along Costa de Sol.
I really appreciate and value all you advices and experience.
Any suggestion what to add, fix ?

Hi, AB18 -

I would choose 3 nights in Sevilla and 2 in Granada.

Enjoy!

Have you been to Madrid before? Staying there for 4 nights w/2 day trips (Segovia, Toledo) won't leave you much time in Madrid. so I'd add at least 1 night to Madrid unless you've been there.

Otherwise, 2 in Granada and 3 in Seville.

Driving along the Costa del Sol usually gets mixed opinions. Some, including myself, would say that the coastal highway is not a leisure trip but a main artery for lots of traffic. Plus you get to see a lot of ghastly urbanisaciones along the coast.
A rental car makes lots of sense, though, for trips in the back country, i.e. to explore the White Villages.
I don't know how you plan to go from Sevilla to Granada, but if that part is still open you could consider a one-way rental.
