Playing Basketball in Amsterdam

Hello,

I am trying to play basketball in as many countries as possible and I am also recording a video of basketball around the world. I saw there are a lot of basketball courts in Amsterdam on this website: http://www.courtsoftheworld.com/Netherlands/Amsterdam

but it is hard for a non-local to know where are the best basketball court. Where I have the best chance of showing up and join a pick up game if it isn't raining.

Would you know which basketball court will most likely have the most people showing up?

I would try asking this question at /trv/ in 4chan. Lots of younger generation Europeans there.

Yep, found a court by talking to locals

http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...l-in-sofia.cfm

I left an update:

"I found a place where they play basketball. There is a court on Chervena Roza near Nishava. I took the tram #1 all the way to it's final destination, took the underpass, and walked towards Nishava. There are some schools in that neighbourhood but the court I went on seems to be a higher level. I met two guys there and they were pretty good."

Can't you contact some of the players listed on the site you linked to? They are locals and can probably help you get a game.

I have played basketball and watched numerous pick-up games in the heart of Museum Plain, smack behind the Rijksmuseum - really popular courts.

Hello, sorry for the late replies, I got my backpack robbed with all my belongings, including my computer so I haven't been great with keeping up with communications.

Thank you for your help, I went and played on Museumplein, it was great. I recorded a few basketball games with my GoPro but unfortunately, all of my footage was lost in the robbery.

I am not in the Netherlands anymore, I am now in Spain.

The court is nice, it is quite gorgeous at sunset with the I Amsterdam in the background.

The level is quite good as well. Not as good as in Utrecht, but still quite good. Not many ethnic Dutch people playing there. Mainly visible minorities or immigrants.
