playa del Carmen, Mexico

Happy Holidays! Do you have any info regarding Playa del Carmen. Is it necessary to rent a car? how about some unique restaurants? thanks!

Hi daisy,

Did you mean to post this to the Europe forum?

Daisy3:

You do not need a car as you can easily walk around the main part of Playa del Carmen but you would need one to venture down the coast to places such as Tulum and so forth. There are car rental agencies in the center of the town.

Enjoy your trip there and ignore the bores here who are so parochial they apparently only know about Europe.

Dear JonJon,

This may come as a surprise to you, but this is the European Forum.

ira, you have to excuse JonJon. He gets real testy whenever he doesn't get enough fiber.

Ok, to be fair, Daisy posted on the Latin America forum at 7:49 p.m. last night-almost immediately after she posted to the Europe forum. So maybe she realized her error or she just wanted to get more (helpful) opinions.
