Planning D-day tour March 2020
We will be in Bayeux for 3 days. On the first day, we have reserved a full-day Overlord tour. We don't plan to have a car. We would like to see the Bayeux tapestry and the Bayeux cathedral. Any other suggestions?

I agree with that, as there isn't really enough to do in Bayeux for a couple days. So do Bayeux one day and Caen the other, then you have the day for the DDay tour. Caen isn't very far by train, easy trip. There is more than that Memorial to see in Caen, actually, they have a museum/fortress complex also. You can do that all by pubnlic transport, just look up bus lines ahead of time, that's what I did. You can get the bus to/from the Memorial from near the center of town, and yoiu can walk to/from the station otherwise.
How to get here | Caen Memorial museum
I think this is the public transportation website
