planning a visit to Giverney

I know there are numerous posts on Giverney. But, now that we have more or less put together our very loose itinerary for our upcoming trip, I was searching to see if it is necessary to reserve train tickets for Vernon ahead of time.
I ask this because if it is not necessary, I would prefer to go(if possible) on a day when the sun is out.
As always, thanks in advance for any insights.

No need to book.

I think it a good idea to keep your plans flexible like that.

No, it's a very local train. But to get the best out of the trip, you will probably need to take a fairly early train.

I 'm with you, I on keeping plans flexible .
I want to go and see the Xi'an Terracotta Warriors in Paris this July, but you have to buy ( reserve ) your tickets in advance and you have to pick a one hour window for the visit, that is so limiting,, uh.

Thanks for the replies. I don't know how you found the post though... I'm not sure what I did, but I know I didn't do it right when I posted. I think the post is in "Europe", but not France; but again thanks!

Well, France is in Europe!

There isn't a French forum, just a Europe one. When you select France, all you do is assist site indexing (which doesn't work very well, anyway).
