We will be travelling to Ireland in August and spending some time in Dingle. Any ideas on inexpensive B&B's or hotels? Is it a good idea to make reservations in the summer?

Check out: www.townandcountry.ie They list over 1800 B&B's and all for around 25-30 dollars per person, just be sure to ask for en suite if having your own private bath is important to you. Yes, I would recommend reservations for the summer. Have a great trip!

In Dingle you want to be a close to the town center. We were out on Conor Pass Road and I would hesitate walking to town, especially after dark. Do have reservations before you leave.

We stayed at the Lighthouse as well, and thought it was very nice---the only B&B we stayed in that had bathtubs (which can be nice after a long day of hiking/walking). It is walking distance to town (10-12 minute walk).
