Place for family to stay in Dordogne?
I'm looking at the various web sites for places to stay in Dordogne, but haven't yet quite found the perfect place. I'm writing tonight to see if anyone has ideas on where to stay.
We're looking for lodging for 8 people (4 couples). At least 4 bedrooms, with a big enough bed for 2 in each bedroom. And, a bath with shower for each couple. A 5th bedroom and bath for one would be a great extra.
Somewhere near Sarlat sounds like the place to be, but we're open to suggestions.
Finally, most important, at least one of the bedrooms and bathrooms need to be on the first floor for elderly parent.
I've checked gite.com, rentavilla.com, and some of the other sites, haven't found anything that really fits the bill, so please let me know if you have any experience with homes that might be a good fit for us.
Thanks, annieladd

Don't have experience with this property, but rentvillas.com is a (very) different company from Rentavilla
This ought to do, if it's in your price range:
http://www.rentvillas.com/PropertyDe...x?CatalogId=60
I can vouch for the nice people of rentvillas.com
Best wishes,
Rex

annieladd, try Simply Perigord, www.simply-perigord.com. We rented a house in LeBugue from them last year and I think they've got lots of properties the size you are looking for. We would rent from them again.

Here is another to try:
http://www.francebyheart.com
Both the gite.com and certainly holiday-rentals.com should have had many things for you to choose from.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I've quickly reviewed all the sites you've given me, and have found a lot more options. Rex, yours looked beautiful, but a bit out of our price range. But there are other options out there that look great. I'll review them in more detail tonight. Thanks! annieladd
