I menat to include that the luggage carts on the escalators in the first set of pix were in the Zurich train station - the carts are specially made to ride on them with no effort.

kwren - WHAAAA I'm still suffering the effects of jetlag, trip overload, and unpacking.

But after looking at your wonderful photos, I'm ready to go again! These are the very same places we just visited last week. Isn't it something to see all those glaciers, waterfalls, flowers, roof tiles, and even the same alpenhorn player!

Excellent photos!

Hi kopp - Thanks! I know the feeling, I miss it all too and can't believe I was there so recently either. (Hint hint: doing my trip report helped with the transition.)

Can you imagine having the job of Kleine Scheidigg Alpenhorn player??? (Funny on a resume!) Did you get to try the alpenhorn?

Glad you enjoyed my pix. I'll get around to Salzburg soon.

kwren - no alpenhorn lessons for me, nosiree Seemed like everyone and his uncle was trying it out. Oh, of course the guy would "wipe" the mouthpiece off after each use

He was even up way on the hill one day. Heard it as we were coming around the corner on one of our walks from Mannlichen to KS.

kwren, your pictures are amazing. The BO has been at the top of my "to visit" list for several years now, and everytime I see pictures like these I wonder how in the world I managed to skip this area in favore of another European vacation so many times! Truly beautiful...thanks so much for sharing!

Great photos! Thanks for sharing. You were in so many of the same places we went in June - I miss it, but your pictures helped!

Ronkala - where are you going? I hope you get to visit some of these places - the pictures don't do them justice.

Great photos, Kwren. I especially enjoyed seeing sunny Lauterbrunnen, because I only saw the wet version.

thanks bd, I'm glad you got to see Lauterbrunnen under better circumstances through my pix.

The most important day - the Jungfrau trip - was perfect. Anyone going - check the video cam in your hotel early the day you want to go and do not delay if it is nice! You could see the clouds coming in after just 3 hours in my pictures.
