Tour Companies - Central Europe

Planning a solo trip for fall 2025. Ideally would like to include Prague, Budapest, Vienna and possibly Poland. Tauck tours has a perfect tour but it's a bit out of my price range. I found a very similar tour with Odysseys Unlimited. Can anyone share any tour company experiences in Central Europe? Any specific experience with Odysseys? I've also heard about Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT) and would consider them but they don't seem to have the exact trip I would want. TIA for sharing your experience.

My husband and I traveled with Odysseys Unlimited earlier this year. This is the first time we had traveled with them and we were pleased with the services the tour company provided on our trip to New Zealand and Australia. We have also enjoyed two trips with Road Scholar, if they have a trip that interests you. I have heard good things about Rick Steves tours, as well.

FWIW, I found it easy to visit the places you mention as a woman traveling alone. I was there in 1995.

I lived in Vienna for 7 years and traveled solo quite frequently all around Central and Western Europe (and other places). Do so requires research; I don't like being beholden to a schedule if something interesting comes up.

Intrepid Travel have a good reputation. I’ve only done one tour with them but had a great time. Friends have done several tours with them.

These are places easily visited independently if preferred.
