Phone card in Paris/CDG

Hi!

I'm heading to Paris this spring and need to purchase a phone card. I will need it when I arrive at CDG. Is there a place in the airport I can purchse one? I will need to call the apartment owner when I arrive.

Thanks!

Go to any of the "Relay" press kiosks and ask for a "carte France Telecom". It's a pre-paid card with a chip that you can use in all FT phone booths in France. Ask for the one with the smallest amount of units ("une petite carte, s'il-vous-plaît&quot as you won't use it that much I figure. The FT card is not to be confused with the zillion cards with 800 numbers that you use to call French, and mostly foreign numbers, with a pin code you scratch, like in the States.

Yes, buy at CDG Relay stores. I asked for:

Une carte d’appel pour France Telecom, cabine, France seulement

Which gives you phone booths, no international.

We purchased one from a kiosk style self-serve at the luggage claim area, right next to the bank of phones. It was a card where you entered a pin number after placing the call so we could use it at hotels for calling ahead to the next hotel or from friends' houses, etc. Sorry, I can't remember the name.

The Relay store has both kinds. Just ask for the one to use at home. You can then use it at the pay phone and also at "home".....
