Dear Julie...

So many replies. Here's my two lire.

Basically Perillo is supposed to be o.k. However, have you thought about Club ABC tours. I've used them for London and Paris and been quite pleased. My friend used them for Italy and liked them too. I also think they are a bit cheaper than Perillo.

If you're the least bit adventourous do it on your own. They're are fast trains between Rome and Florence, Florence and Venice and Venice and Milano.

I have driven (by myself) and taken the train between all of these cities. If you go first class on the trains you will be quite comfortable.

I recognize the Bauer and Baglioni Hotels are well respected. Not really familiar with the one in Rome.

Any questions, please e-mail me.

I LOVE ITALY!

PS A gorgeous time to go is March/April, or September/October. April and September

Have you thought about flying into Rome and returning from Venice or Milan?
