Pergamon Museum

I have read that 1.the Pergamon Museum will be closed for repair in 2005 to 2010.
2. A press release dated Feb. 27, 2006 said that it will be closed in 2011 to 2026 with some of its contents accessible.
Is this museum still open and will it continue to be open in Oct./06? Will change plans if the Pergamon Altar is not available to view.
Thanks for some accurate information.

Hi
I was in the Pergamon Museum last Sept. and signs were posted all over about the upcoming closing. I know it is for several years and it was supposed to be closing shortly after we were there. I'm sorry I don't remember the exact closing date, but I did post it on Fodors back in Oct. Check back by clicking on my screen name to see the exact date of closing.

Thank you for your responses.
I too have been searching through Google - there is nothing definitive on any website. I have emailed the Berlin museums and also Berlin Tourist Information and had no reply.
Is traveller "1959" in Berlin and therefore certain?

Oh, I got my information from the museum's website (see the link), which is regularly updated. So, it is accurate.
