Pere Lachaise Cemetary Help

How much does it cost to go there?
Can I get there from here?
Is it crowded?
Do I have to be Catholic?
Are there pickpockets or gypsies there?
Is the water safe?
Can I wear sneakers and a tiara?
Can I go barefoot?
Does Jimi Hendrix still live there or has he moved?

so may questions...
I walked - took me forever, but there must be a metro stop nearby - which isn't that expensive - about 80p I think.
Course you don't have to be catholic. Wasn't very crowded when I went in the height of summer. People selling maps of the graves have scraped off the official map in the cemetary, forcing you to buy one of theirs, can't really be avoided, but I htink some Lonely Planet guides have maps in them.
You can definitely wear both sneakers and a tiara, though obviously barefoot would be more aesthetically pleasing.
Not sure Jimi's there but Jim Morrison wwill be pleased with a visit.

Gambetta
and so on
no you don't have to be catholic
you'll miss so much if you just go for Jim Morrison
Check out the Epstein memorial for Oscar Wilde
The stones on Chopin's memorial
the flowers son Piaf's and so on and so forth.
Beware, this is a cemetery, there are still burials going on. Have some respect for what's going on around you, this isn't DoorsWorld.
