Pennyhill Park in Surrey
Can anyone give me any info on Pennyhill Park? The reviews on tripadvisor seem great.
What about things to visit around the local?
Also -Can anyone help me with the drive time
from Bath to Pennyhill in Surrey ???
Thank you

Here's a good web site for the Bagshot area:

Guildford Cathedral is certainly worth a visit. If you like gardens, head to Virginia Water and Savill Gardens, near Windsor--which of course you would want to see as well.

Jenn, I just made a reservation for Pennyhill Park in September. I could only get a room for one night, and hopefully, I am on a wait list for another night. If you are going soon, you better make a reservation. I will be going there from Bath, stopping in Salisbury and at Stonehenge along the way. I plan to see Hampton Palace while I am in the area and the garden janis recommended on this site.

WanderingTexan - Thanks. We are planning a trip for June 05. We will
also be coming from Bath - and plan to
stop at Stonehenge along the way. We
are a group of 7 and while at Pennyhill, some plan to see Windsor and some plan for Hampton Court. One person is hoping to make it to Wimbleton. It seems like a good local
to finish up our trip and then held back
to Heathrow or Gatwick.

Jenn, Yes, I am staying at a private home and more modest B&B's for the entire trip, so I thought I would splurge at Pennyhill Park. I chose it for the same reasons; good location close to the airports. I am leaving out of Gatwick and it is about an hour's drive from there as far as I can tell. I will be sure and let you know how I like it. I decided to do Windsor as a day trip from London to give me more time to see other things while in Bagshot.

If you like National Trust properties, Clandon Park is a beautiful 18th cen house , with a good restaurant for lunch and it also contain the Queens's Royal Surrey Regimental museum. It is closed from Nov first until; MArch , but since you didn't say when you were going I thought I'd suggest it anyway .
