Pedicure in London?
Hi all--have been to London nearly a dozen times, but never felt the need to get a pedicure while there..until now. Im going straight from London to DC to see my GF and her family, and I want my feet to look after all the walking I've been doing!
I'm not looking for anything fancy; if I walk down the street, will I be able to find nail salons (the simple, quick, cheap kind, no appointment, etc..that kind of thing. Not looking for a spa)? As I said, I have been to London many times, and either I've never noticed them or they don't exist like they do back home in New York!!
Any recommendations near Bloomsbury? (Gower Street)
Thanks!

Nail salons don't exist here to the same extent they do in New York, like on every corner. But there are some.
If you don't spot anywhere more local, the big department stores like Selfridges have general beauty salons. I think you will be shocked at the cost if you are used to NY, though ! And may need an appointment.

You can try Nails Inc. (basic pedi GBP40, mani/pedi "double decker" for GBP65) which has branches throughout. One in South Moulton St., Debenham's, Fennwick, Selfridges all near Bond st. Most people do make appointments. Though the only drawback is, I found the levels of therapists are uneven.
For pedicure, I usually have better luck with NYNC on South Moulton St (7409.3332). They have a branch on Marylebone High St. You'll need to make appointments as pedi seems to be in greater demand (and takes more time).
I've stopped using the above two since I switched to my local salon but it's in Maida Vale so less central location.
Funny I live in London and usually wait till I get to NY to get my mani/pedi done for less than half the costs.
