Brunellesci's Dome by Ross King is much more informative about the cathedral than Part 1 of the PBS series, in my opinion. I thought parts of the show were way overly dramatized (yeah, cheesy). But having said that, it was still worth watching, and we will tune in to Part 2 next week. I wondered what Ross King, who appears a few times in Part 1, thought of the program.

I didn't see your kind advice until now, and I still missed it.
I'm irritated because I called WLIW 21 on Long Island, and I was told they had no plans to show any of it.
Grrr....!

As one who doesn't want to dedicate a "lifetime" to the study of the Medicis or to Inca architecture or whatever, 4/5 hours is more than enough of watching Medicis for me. It's a great show for people like me.
Now, back to planning for my next trip and to small doses of "A Hundred Years of Solitude".
