passau

I am landing in Munich airport and need to get to Passau for a river cruise. Any ideas? There are no airports or car drop offs.

Anita, I have no idea about transpo to Passau from the Munich airport, but if I needed to find out, I'd go to google.com and type in Munich airport and then search that site for ground transportation. Or, I'd search the German rail site for possible train connections. I think the rail site is www.dbahn.de or maybe .com, or something similar. You could find it by typing German rail into Google. Good luck!

Anitas- who says there are no car drop offs in Passau? Almost every major car rental agency has an office in Passau- including Avis, Sixt, and Auto-Europe. If you decide to take the train, I would take the #635 Bus from the airport to Freising Bahnhof then the train direct to Passau (as outlined on the "bahn.de" site)- just type in Munich Airport then Passau. This avoids the 40 minute trip into downtown Munich. Passau itself is a lovely town and you should spend a full day there. Have a wonderful cruise!

Thanks for the replys. I will check into the car rentals again. When I called and asked they told me there was no drop off point.
