Paris: Wedding Shops
I'm looking for shops that would specialize in wedding "supplies", for lack of a better word. My son is getting married this summer, and I thought it would be fun to see what might be available for shower favors and other aspects of the "French wedding culture" when I am in Paris in March. Anyone know of such a place?

Now if youw anted a place in Nice, I could give you one! Many candy shops and patissiers carry wedding favors, however, and I'm sure you can find a nice variety.
The Nice shop to visit, if anyone is interested, is in Vieux Nice right across from the restaurant L'Ecurie. It was an astonishing array of candy and other favors, including one that's an assembly of individual pieces arranged like a cake.

Tati has a wedding store right on the rue Scribe off the Opéra, behind the AMEX office.
The only reason I know that is that I once stood outside it for a long time waiting for someone to meet me for the Paristoric show. I didn't pay much attention to what was in the window, and I do associate Tati with rather cheap clothing, but for all I know it may be a nice, legitimate store. When I was in Paris in October I happened upon a Tati jewelry store that seemed to have some high-quality merchandise.

Thank you, Underhill and St. Cirq; wish I had time to zip down to Nice, but just a short trip. I will try the Tati shop; I,too, associate it with lower end stuff, but that may not be true. Certainly a place to start my search!
