Paris wedding dress shops

I am returning to Paris in May for two weeks and need the names of dress shops that specialize or at least carry Mother-of-the-Bride dresses. My daughter is getting married in October here in Toronto and I was hoping to find something smashing (and original) to wear.

Your help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. I am not petite.

I don't know anything about wedding dress shops in Paris, except I've heard of people shopping at Tati, but with the current exchange rate why would you want to shop in Paris?

And if you're not petite, it's going to be a challenge in Paris.

Hi St. Cirq:
I'd want to shop in Paris because...it's Paris! Surely not every Parisienne is petite. I noticed some less-than-tiny women on my last trip. I'm talking size 14. I hope that's not impossible.

I bought a dress in Paris for my daughter's wedding a couple years ago. It was at a small boutique in the Marais, I want to say Jacques something or other. They had small sizes to try on but made the dress to fit. I'm not a petite, more like a 10. I wasn't looking for a MOB dress per se. I enjoyed shopping the boutiques looking for somethng to wear and just stumbled upon the place where I ended up buying it. Have fun shopping.

Pronuptia is the most popular . there are three or four locations in Paris you can google. We had one in Boston but it folded as Prisilla had the market.

That's a great idea, yestravel. I could find something unique and have it made for me. And what fun there would be in the hunt!

Thanks, cigale. There are so many boutiques here but I am really looking for something that no one carries in TO. That might be a tall order, although I will certainly check out Pronuptia.
