Paris, Verdun & Germany trip report with Photo's.

The following is a link to my trip report posted on Bavaria Bens web sight.
http://www.bensbauernhof.com/asbachn...eport2003.html

A few quick thoughts on Paris.
Loved it! We were pleasantly surprised at the complete lack of lines. Granted we did get to the Louvre just as it opened. But at Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Rodin and the Arc De Triumph we didn't see any lines to speak of. The weather was fantastic and we did not see one any of the legendary dog poo.
We stayed in a wonderful apartment rented by Paris Perfect. The view of the Eiffel Tower from our apartment was worth every penny, but having a kitchen and living room really made our trip that much more relaxing.
We also enjoyed Verdun and would like to spend more time there.
Did not realize how much flat farm land France has. I realize France has many area's that are wonderful and scenic, but the parts we drove through were not those parts. lol
Please click the above link to view the report with lots of pics.
If you have any questions, fire away!
Thanks.

Thanks for sharing your trip report. I haven't read it all yet because I have to ask before I forget. Will share with me exactly where Dino Land in Kaiserslautern is? My son loves dinosaurs and he flipped when he saw your few pictures of it. We are leaving Wednesday afternoon for our trip.

Btw, your children are GORGEOUS! Those eyes could just melt your heart.

Thanks!

It is fairly easy to find, especially if you know Kaiserslautern at all.
It do remember there being lots of signs along with way with arrows pointing to Dinoland. It's also near the Gartenschau. The place used to be the old slaughter house, but now it's right on the main road going through K-twon. I want to say Berliner str, but I can't say for sure.
But I think just about anyone in K-town could point you in the right direction, or simply look for the signs along the road and follow them.
Admission was real inexpensive and there were of course lots of Dino's as well as some really cool toys for the kids to play on.
You might try www.kaiserslautern.de and send them an email asking for better drirections.
Have fun on your trip and let us know how your son liked Dinoland when you get back.
