Paris to Nice

Any suggestions for an inexpensive flight/airline between Paris & Nice?

If you're not familiar with it, you should know that www.whichbudget.com is a search engine that gives you information on all the budget airlines in Europe. A quick look shows that easyJet (www.easyjet.com) flies to Nice from both CDG and Orly.

Why not take the superspeedy TGV instead? with all the hassle of getting to the airport, waiting around, hoping it takes off on time, you could be there already. I believe it's just 2 hours non stop.

I don't know what city you're confusing with Nice, but the TGV to Nice is 6 hrs 5 minutes for the 11:24 departure (6 hrs 31 minutes for the 6:54 departure). Almost 7 hrs for the connection through Marseille; 9-10 hours for a connecrtion through Lyon.

These are for departures from Roissy (CDG) though dave's question does not suggest that he is starting there.

Complete schedules and fares available at www.sncf.com

Additionally - - while whichbudget.com is a key resource for flights between countries in europe, it can also be worthwhile to check www.opodo.co.uk since the "major" airlines may offer schedules or fares competitive with the low-cost carriers.

Best wishes,

Rex

topping... not clear if you ever got back to read this reply.. and since your last reply here was two years ago, you may not know the tip of "click on your own name" to find your previous posts (Fodors just recently started... finally informing new registrants about this when they first sign up here).
