Dress in Provence

What should I bring? How cool can it get? Should I/can I wear shorts? Sweaters?

If you want hard facts about the weather history of a particular place you can go to www.weatherunderground.com.

If this is more of a fashion question will top this for you.

If you are travelling in August it's really hot. Dress tends to be casual. But you'll need a sweater for visiting high places and windy evenings. Also good to take a lightweight waterproof in case you get caught in a summer storm.

I'll be in the area mid August, around the 18th-14th.

Which part of Provence will you be visiting? On the Côte d'Azur you'll see just about anything in the way of clothing; around Nice, fashionable casual is the way to go. Ditto for Cannes.

Shorts, flip flops, thin clothing... Provence is extremely relaxed and minimal attire is completely appropriate, even outside of the nudist zones.
