Paris (Taking Metro From Airport)
Hello,
We are leaving for Europe on Sunday and our first stop is Paris. We are flying in to the CDG Airport and was wondering how complicated it would be to take the Metro from the airport to our hotel.
Our hotel is in the Saint Germain Area and the actual address is 14 Rue Des Canettes.
Also, this is our first time to Paris.

Take a taxi.
You can catch an airport shuttle that will take you to line B of the RER, buy tickets there, squeeze your luggage through the turnstiles, and ride the line down into the city, from which you can connect through still more turnstiles to the Métro itself and take that to your hotel. Or you can take a taxi.
The savings in taking public transport is small compared to the gain in comfort after a long flight that you get from a taxi ride, especially if you have any kind of luggage beyond carry-ons.

Unless you are on a very tight budget, take a taxi or shuttle. It was kind of hard to find the train at the airport. Then, once at the metro station, you may be deep underground and the escolator may be broken and you may have to take your luggage up a long flight of stairs, then squeeze though a turn stile and then walk on cobblestones to get to your hotel.

You can also ride the RER to St-Michel Notre-Dame and take the N° 96 bus (Direction Gare Montparnasse) to the Église St-Sulpice stop. Here is where you get on:

...and here is where you get off:

Just so you know what to expect, here is an RER turnstile you have to squeeze your luggage through:

Thanks for all the reply. Actually after flying all night (we are coming from California) to Paris we might be better off just spending the extra money on the cab.
Does anyone know about how much we can expect to pay from the airport to the Saint Germain Area?
