Paris restaurants in August

It looks like I'll be going to Paris again this August! I had a wonderful time last year, but I didn't have much luck finding good restaurants that were open (I knew this ahead of time). Last year I ate mostly at cafes and pizza joints. Would prefer not to have a repeat of the same this year.

But there must be some right? Right?

Need help please! Michelin starred would be fabulous but not required.

Will be staying in the rue de Buci area (where else).

Thanks much.

Hey kerouac I'm more than willing and able to travel to any other arrondissement for food. So let me have it! Love your reports btw.

well, if you are looking for Michelin stars, we were in Paris in August 2009 and went to L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon. You can make reservations online and we went back last December. If they have the gazpacho with mustard sorbet-get it!!

Marco Polo at the corner of rue St Sulpice and rue de Conde is open in August. No stars but solid food and they are very nice.

If Le Comptoir at Relais St Germain is open, go. They have bucked the trend for trying to get a star but the food is great with out the star!

We also liked Citrus Etoile off the Champs Elysee (near Arc de Triomphe. Small place but very reasonable 3 course dinner that we really enjoyed. Again, no stars but they were open in August when we were there.
