Here is a list of all of the rental car firms of which I am familiar. Expect 24 hour rentals to be quite expensive:

Hi PT,
>Need the car for 24 hrs.<
Are you certain? Where are you going?
www.novacarhire.com will rent you a car for a day.

You need the car IN Paris (don't understand why - I would think cabs would be cheaper/easier) or need the car to do a day trip FROM Paris? In either case there are dozens of rental agencies and you need to shop for prices and convenience based on your particular needs (open hours, size car, manual or automatic)?

A 24-hour rental will cost you the equivalent of a 3-day rental, and if you don't rent it in advance from the USA (assuming you are American), it will be even more costly.
Why do you need a car for one day IN Paris? Or, if not in Paris, where are you going that you couldn't get to better by some other form of transport?
