I had a quick question, I was wondering what train or bus would I catch from Orly to my hotel in the Latin Quarter.
I did not want to cab it.

Depends where exactly your hotel is in the Latin Quarter.
Anyway, in Orly take the automatic Orlyval train to Antony. Then take RER B into the city, and depending from where you have to be, you change to a metro line.

My family is doing the same thing. It appears the best bet is the free shuttle to the metro station nearest orly. From there, the metro to Latin Quarter. Find the stop nearest your hotel. An unlimited one week metro/bus pass is around 9E per person.

Well whether the RER line C link (free 'navette' or bus to the dingy Pont de Rungis-Aeroport Orly RER C station about a mile from the airport or the Orlyval automated people mover to RER line B station of Antony and then RER B to Latin Quarter - which one will be better depends on where you hotel is. RER B serves more stops in the Latin Quarter than RER C does - in fact it serves all the stops that RER C does (St. Michel-Notre Dame) and several more south of this (Sorbonne, Luxemburg and Port Royal stops) but the Orlyval people mover/RER B options costs more than the RER C one; but generally B option will take you nearer most Latin quarter hotels.
