Navigo Decouverte pic- color or b&w?

Just realized I don't know if the required photo for the Navigo pass needs to be in color- or is black and white ok?

Also, where exactly at CDG can they be purchased? thanks!

I don't know if there is a requirement but mine (and my friends') are in color. Just cut your face out from a snapshot. It needs to be a bit smaller than the passport size photo to fit in the plastic holder.

At CDG it would be downstairs where you get the tickets for the RER. If you are using ground transportation this makes no sense. Just get it at any manned Metro station. 19.15 Eruo plus the one time 5 Euro card fee. Rechargeable and good for 10 years (or until they change the rules).

Actually I did want to buy them at the airport so we could use them on the Roissy bus. So we'd have to schlep to the RER station, and back up to the bus stop? You're right, I won't worry about it at the airport, I guess, and will get them later, even though it will cost an extra 20eu to do that!

I used xeroxed passport photos and trimmed them a bit.

If you want to use a Navigo Découverte Pass from CDG into Paris the one week cost is 33.90€. 19.15€ is the price for zone 1-2 or basically the service area of central Paris only.

Depending upon what it is you want to accomplish with a pass, it may be cheaper to simply pay the 10€ for the Roissybus and only purchase a zone 1-2 Navigo Découverte.

good point, Sarastro, but we figured with trips to Versailles, Fountainbleu, and at least one or two other places, zones 1-5 would make sense.

Thanks, Deb, sounds like b&w is fine!
