Paris hotels

Hi,
I am so confused!
I would like us to stay at a hotel that feels like we are on vacation, fairly special, but I know that we will not spend that much time there.
We need a triple room, with a good location.
I am willing to pay for what we get, but I am not that certain how nice we really need (due to the fact that we will only be sleeping there.)
I am a single mother with a 12 year old and a 19 year old.
We are planning on going to Paris and London over Thanksgiving.
I am wondering if a package deal might not be a bettter deal, as the airfare is really not that great. Seems like off season rates are high this year.
I have looked in to Gotoday (just air and hotel and transfers) but not real pleased with their hotel choices.Though it seems cheaper then we can do on our own.
Any comments?
Thank you.

Casey - www.francevacations.com offers pretty good deals one of which includes the Hotel Clos Medicis. The hotel has triple rooms so this might be worth checking into. I've never used this service though so cannot vouch for them.

When are you traveling? I found some pretty good air fares on Travelocity if before 3/31/03 ($450 rt). I stayed at the Millesime Hotel on Rue Jacob which I really liked. You can get a superior double and then pay for an extra bed to be brought into the room. The superior double room is pretty big. Hope this helps.

Sorry, I didn't catch the "over Thanksgiving" part. Better go get some more coffee. It's early.....

Casey, where are you coming from? I just found a nonstop from JFK to CDG for $406 on AA, from Chicago on United for $502, and from LA with a stop in DC for $566. Try using Travelocity's "My dates are flexible" feature, even if they aren't.

I have found some really great hotels on the www.charmingparis.com website. I used their sites for Florence, Rome and Tuscany this summer, and really recommend them. They have some really cute places in the 5th and 6th for ~130 euros a night, and a beautiful place in the 1st for 90!

Hi Casey,
Lat year my daughter went to London, stayed at the Great Russel St Hotel with her 11 year old. During Thanksgiving week. She had a great time, the hotel made it very special, and they were very helpful.
This Oct she is going again, this time staying in So Kensington.
Without knowing how much you want to spend, it is hard to recommend a hotel, but I have noticed packages and specials from tour companies like ABC Tours that are very nicely priced, taking care of hotel and airfare. We used ABC a long time ago to London and the hotel was wonderful, near Buckingham Palace and a First Class hotel. you can look into them online.
Good luck, try the text search for Thrilled to be Going to London by someone named [email protected] think that will be the thread with a lot of information.
