Paris hotel question - Left Bank
Hello:
We are a group of 3 women traveling to Paris in March. (2 of us have been before). We are having a difficult time deciding on which hotel to stay at at. We are considering the following and I would appreciate any input from those with personal experience as far as quality, charm and service. (all have good location for us).
Hotel Odeon St. Germain - we love everything about it, but even the triple room is not very big.
Le Relais St. Germain - Much bigger room, but worried about possible smokiness and noise, despite requesting non smoking room. Also, more expensive. We'll pay if we decide it's the best choice.
Hotel Louis II - top floor Jr. suite a bit more spacious than Odeon room, just don't know about quality of furnishings/bathroom and possible smoke smell.
Hotel Pont Royal - med. size room, but doesn't look like anything special
We've researched over a 100 hotels and poured over many hotel review sites. Any additional input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know about the others, but I've stayed in the Relais St. Germain multiple times and love it. The triple rooms are very spacious for Paris, and our bathrooms have been quite large there as well. I've never noticed any smoke smell at all, and I'm quite sensitive to smoke.
The added advantage of staying there is that you can get reservations for dinner at the Comptoir du Relais (restaurant), which is next to impossible otherwise, and reason to stay there in and of itself.
I wish the hotel weren't quite so pricey, though! If it weren't, I would always stay there!
Another place I like that also has nice large rooms is the Madison, and it might be a little less expensive for you.

I've found the best prices there through Expedia.

We always stay at the Madison and get one of the large front-corner rooms facing the Blvd. St-Germain. Those rooms, and bathrooms, are quite spacious, with excellent storage capacity. Some have a day bed in addition to the large double bed, very useful for spreading out things to pack. Our favorite also has a nice desk and French doors overlooking the little "place" in front of the hotel.

Even though 2 of you have been before, have a WONderful experience all together and contact Michael Osman for an "overivew". DH and I have been to Paris MANY times and when I engaged Michael for our "big kids' trip"==kids. spouses, and potential spouse--Michael showed us all things we had never seen. it would be a fun day--and VERY profitable from many points of view. I cannot recommend it enough.

Thanks everyone for the comments. They are much appreciated. We have now narrowed down our hotel search to Le Relais St. Germain and the D'Aubusson. Both are similar price and include breakfast. We need to make a decision in the next day or so. We (sister and I) are traveling with my mother who I think likes the idea of the D'Aubusson because of the larger public spaces (lobby, bar, etc.) and the fact that friends of friends have told her they've stayed and loved it. I'm a little hesitant because I've read a few recent comments on various websites that some of the furnishings are a little worn/run down and that althought the rooms are spacious, they are';t necessarily the nicest decor. Relais St. Germain also has nice room size for us 3. Just wondering if there's anyone with some recent first hand experience at D'Aubusson (who hasn't reviewed on tripadvisor) and can tell me if it's still as nice as everyone has said, or if it's getting run down and we should consider the Relais St. Germain more strongly. Thanks. We are going in 2 weeks and we'll be staying for 7 nights, so I really want to make the right choice. I don't want to arrive somewhere and be disappointed, especially for the amount of money we'll be laying out!
