Paris hotel?? Help choose

I have been reading the posts re. Paris hotels and it has been very helpful and informative. After trying reservations at a number of places reccommended wih no luck--I made a reservation at Relais de vieux Paris, 6th arr. The location sounds perfect but ha anyone had experience there. I thought that I had read about it here but now I can't find any mention of it. Thank you.

Excerpted from a previous post, from someone who seems to give reliable info here:

Author: ger ([email protected])
Date: 05/16/2001, 09:26 pm

Message: From personal experience, I can recommend the Hotel Relais du Vieux Paris. Excellent location, just off the Seine, absolutely charming rooms and extraordinary helpful staff. Check out the following URL for more info:
http://www.france-hotel-guide.com/h75006vieuxparis.htm

====================================
And a tip on how to find something like this. "Boolean" searching (using "and", "or" or "not&quot works here. I found this post in just a minute or two, searching "Relais AND Vieux AND Paris".

Best wishes,

Rex
I was checking on this hotel also. I viewed their rates and felt that they're overpriced for the types of rooms offered.

Hi Lynn,

I and a friend will stay at Hotel Albe (Latin Quarter), very close to Notre Dame, half a block from the Seine and not too far from Pont Neuf. It is on one of the oldest streets in Paris, near St. Germain Blvd. It will be new for me, but not for the friend who recommended it and has stayed there every year for the past 4-5 years, while researching her book. Rate is around 100E and you can reach them at:

http://www.hotelalbe.fr
Tel. 33 (0) 1 46 34 09 70

Have a wonderful trip - maybe we will pass in the lobby between Dec. 6 and 10th.

Regards,

S. Clark
