Location is fine for getting about, since metro St Paul is on line 1, as is Porte Maillot - so it's a straight-through ride in, albeit a long-ish one by Paris standards. It's within easy walking distance of all the chic (and chi-chi) shops of the Marais.

I've walked by that hotel dozens of times. The location is great, in my opinion, central and busy/buzzy. I know I've seen it mentioned on this board before, by someone who stayed there, so if no one answers here you may want to do a search.

if you use the routing tool in ratp.fr it will give the metro line/direction/stop and a map to the address.
Use Porte Maillot (Metro) as the first box and ##rue Malher Paris in the 2nd box (with address#)...
Look up website "parisbytrain" to read up on how to use the metro... (my work pc doesn't allow that site)
