Paris Hotel

Thinking about booking this hotel for a 5 night stay in September, has anyone stayed in it?? seems to have good enough reviews on TA . just wondering is it in a good location and that? also how far would it be from porte mailot as thats where the bus transfer drops us of!

Location is fine for getting about, since metro St Paul is on line 1, as is Porte Maillot - so it's a straight-through ride in, albeit a long-ish one by Paris standards. It's within easy walking distance of all the chic (and chi-chi) shops of the Marais.

I've walked by that hotel dozens of times. The location is great, in my opinion, central and busy/buzzy. I know I've seen it mentioned on this board before, by someone who stayed there, so if no one answers here you may want to do a search.

Here is the recent thread. Poster KayF has stayed there:

Thanks, what way does the metro work getting from porte maillot to the sevigne hotel, as its for my mother in her late 50s and her friend who would not be used to using metros at all!!

if you use the routing tool in ratp.fr it will give the metro line/direction/stop and a map to the address.
Use Porte Maillot (Metro) as the first box and ##rue Malher Paris in the 2nd box (with address#)...

Look up website "parisbytrain" to read up on how to use the metro... (my work pc doesn't allow that site)

Book your hotel ASAP! September is very crowded in Paris because of the many fashion and trade shows.

I second Underhill's advice. September is the busiest hotel month of the year in Paris and rooms in popular hotels will not be easy to find even now.
