Paris-Eiffel apartment query - does anyone know it?
Hi all, at the risk of adding another apartment thread from another Aussie (good on ya Lizzie!) - does anyone have any experience with an apartment at 8 Rue de Monttessuy near the Eiffel Tower?
I am looking at the two bedroom for adult children in July.
Looks good online but I don't know this area. DH and I will be at the Hotel Duquesne for one night of the kids stay which seems reasonably convenient distance wise, as we will all be leaving for CDG together on last day.
Thank you.

Hello Ozgirl - Rue de Monttessuy is one of the classiest little streets running between Ave.Rapp & Ave. de la Bourdonnais. If I'm not mistaken on one of the corners an apartment is owned by Princess Caroline of Monaco.
In other words..........you couldn't be in a nicer area!
I have stayed at the Hotel Duquesne a few years ago - Very nice staff.

You will need to list the apt. URL for people to respond about the apartment. You may then find some who have stayed in it.
As for the area, it is the only area that I stay in. You are a couple blocks from the park at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, you have boulangeries, restaurants in all prices ranges all around you. Buses to any place you want to go are right there. All the stores and all that you could need and want. It is a very upscale area and a most desired area to live in.
Yes, the Monaco Royal apartment of Princess Caroline is on corner of Monttessuy and Bourdonnais. If you look up you will see the Royal Crest on each balcony section.

Thanks guys, unfortunately it will be our kids who get the main benefit of the area, we will be down in the Pyrenees until the last night.
Stu, any restaurant you recommend is bound to be great but I will have to investigate the budget of the rest of the party! It will be the last night in France for most of us though so we may be able to splurge.
Thanks margaretlb as well, I think we have done well with the area anyway.
I have confirmed booking with www.paris-eiffel-apartment.com - still interested in comments from anyone who may have stayed there?
