Paris during Fashion Week

Leaving for Paris tomorrow....just now realizing that it is Fashion Week there. Now if I were an A-lister I'm sure it would be wonderful to be there during this time, but alas, I am not. What can I expect? Will there be more crowds? Hard to get a table for dinner? Or will the fact that I am not an A-lister mean I won't even see a difference in the city?
Anyone been during this time?

Thanks!

You won't see any difference in the city unless the list of establishments where you want to hang out are on the jet set list.

We are a young-ish group (two couples late 20's/early 30's)and do plan to be out and about in the evening and night....but I doubt our choice of establishments is the same as say Mary Kate Olson!

It's a well known fact that Mary Kate wouldn't be caught in a restaurant. People eat there.

Have fun in Paris!

I have actually attended a few shows in Paris during FW. I used to work for Todd Oldham in NY and befriended an editor at French Vogue. She invited me to attend some shows with her when I was visiting Paris. It is doubtful you will even notice what is going on, unless you happen to be at some place like Costes. (Do people still go there?)

You can have FW; it is dreadful. The only people to get really excited about it are the design students who try to crash a show. Everyone is so bitchy. Basic conversation:

"Do I know you?"
"No."
"Then why are you talking to me?
"Um, maybe because you just spilled coffee all over my coat?
"That coat is hideous anyway. I did you a favour."
