"I love Paris in the springtime, I love Paris in the fall" and I'm sure I'd like fizzling winter but probably not a real fan of sizzling summer...Have a hot mulled wine and watch the snow fall. I'll take some of that snow also..had a great storm and cold weather around Thanksgiving but no chance here again til maybe Monday....so snuggle up and enjoy. Merry Christmas.

Rex, I never thought I'd see you going over to the Dark Side. LOL.
John in Montana, so you're in for a green (or perhaps more accurately brown) Christms too, eh? Calgary's weather forecast presently is calling for 35 deg F on Christmas Day! This is so unusual for us.

At the risk of being a tormentor, here in Canberra, Australia, we're heading for a top of 32C (90F) today, low humidity, cloudless and with light breezes. At this stage Christmas Day is likely to be a bearable 26C (79F) with a possible thunderstorm later in the day. Barring accidents it will be mango daiquiris, chardonnay and sparkling shiraz (hey, don't knock it if you haven't tried it!) on the back deck Chez Cammack. Plus some food if Chef gets around to it. This bulletin has been brought to with best wishes for the Christmas (or if you prefer, holiday) season from your friends Down Under. Enjoy it, whatever the weather!

I was thinking about Australia the other day...watching something about Christmas in Hawaii and then remembered it's summer down there..I met a lovely lady from Australia several years ago when in Europe and I asked her about Christmas in the summer...she laughed and said "we just put another shrimp on the barbie".

I hope that big snowstorm hits Maryland Monday or Tuesday. I want some time off next week.

I live in Louisville , across the Ohio River from Rex. Today began with rain, followed by 5 inches of snow...and now it's sleeting.
Here's our local forecast for the next two days:
Dec 23 Snow 27°/5°
Dec 24 Mostly Cloudy 14°/-7°
When my husband and I moved to Louisville from Minneapolis, he promised me that my dainty hands would never again have to touch a snow shovel or ice melt chemicals. ;-)

Scarlett,
I won't actually be in Louisville on Christmas, we're flying to Portland, OR to spend the holidays with my sister. The weather there is a tad wamer than here.
BUT, we have to change planes in Minneapolis to get to Portland.. shades of deja vu!
