Gerry

S-E-A-R-C-H. In case you don't know how to do this: See the box at the top of this page that reads "Text Search"? Type in CDG Hotels or Hotels at CDG Then in the "and/or subject" box, scroll down and highlight "France." Wait for a few minutes (sometimes a long few minutes!) and you will get a bazillion responses.

Bon voyage

Oops! Forgot the third step. After you highlight "France," press the little red hemisphere that reads "Find."

Actually, I began with the "search" but found only a suggestion that I visit "airwise.com".

Cheers,

Gerry K

Addendum:

I'd still appreciate some help, but I am already familiar with the Sheraton and Hilton, so those can be eliminated.

Cheers,

GK

Gerry: When you say "near" how far away is acceptable? There is a lovely château in the Chantilly Forest that's about a 20-minute ride from CDG, Château de Montvillargenne, 3***, rooms 645-1100FF per night. Pool, sauna, tennis, restaurant.

I was going to ask the same question as St. Cinq(and no, I don't know her!)
My husband and I stayed 50km out of Paris on the A4 motorway, a very confortable hostelry located in the village on the banks of the Marne river. The dining terrace runs along the the riverside and our room had a huge screened in porch where we could enjoy a drink, watch the joggers and dog walkers. The food leaned towards fish and seafood which we prefer anyway.
Hostellerie Le Gonfalon in Germigny L'Eveque.

Sorry about the ambiguity, Folks (and thanks for the suggestions). I need to stay within a few miles of CDG, because I have to visit the airport frequently during my four day stay.

GK

Gerry

The advice to go to airwise.com was excellent. Here's the page http://www.airwise.com/airports/euro...cdg_hotel.html

Look over to the right and click on a list of all CDG hotels.

Bon Voyage

Just returned from Paris and needed to stay close to airport for early flight to States. Can highly recommend the Hyatt Regency in CDG Roissy. Brand new with comfortable air conditioned rooms. And very quiet! We didn't hear a thing.

Down comforters and marble baths. Excellent buffet breakfast included in price of approximately $130. Provides shuttle to airport on half hour. Driver is service oriented and will assist with bags. Ours went in and retrieved a cart for us. Lovely experience; staff very helpful and respectful. Can get frequent flyer miles as well!

Thanks, Nancy, et. al.,

XXX,

I've tried numerous word combinations at Airwise, and they only produce the Hilton and Radisson at CDG.

Cheers,

Gerry K

Gerry -
If you are looking to keep costs loer, there are two Ibis hotels at/near CDG Roissy. We've used them when taking an early AM flight. They are basic, clean and modern, onsite restaurant with good breakfast buffet. www.accorhotels.com

I can't recommend any, although I've heard Ibis is a reliable basic hotel and they do have private bathrms. However, here is another good link for airport hotels, maybe more user-friendly and with more information:http://www.gaf.tm.fr/95/ht/roissyenfrance.htm

Hi,

We stayed at the Holiday Inn CDG airport. It's just like any other Holiday Inn around the world. We got a good price through their website.

I also saw several other hotel from chains such as Mercure, Sofitel, Hilton, Campanille (sp?) etc.

Alexandra
