Paris budget hotel with a view. Is it possible?

The Hôtel Duquesne-Eiffel in the 7me (métro Ecole Militaire) has lovely rooms with views of the Eiffel Tower for under $150. I wouldn't call it a budget hotel, though - it's a lovely 32-star establishment that was completely renovated three years ago (and it was quite nice to begin with).

The Familia is definitely a good choice. They have views of Notre Dame; you'll have to specify. They have a reputation for exellent service, too.
However, check out Hotel Degres de Notre Dame. It seems to be getting a fine reputation lately. That's where I am staying in a few weeks. I requested a room with a single with a view of Notre Dame and they gave me one for about $86 (600 francs) with free breakfast that could be served in room or in the restaurant below (which I understand stays open all night-I could be mistaken); I just hope they gave me one with a view. They seem to be in the same neighborhood as the Familia. So check both out.
I know that Fodors recommends the Familia (fax#: (33) 01 43 29 61 77) and it runs in the under 600 francs category (walk out balconies are on the 2nd & 5th floors, but I'm not sure if that overlooks only the Latin Quarter or Notre Dame).
I think you can get a double at Hotel Degres de Notre-Dame for about $110 (fax#: (33) 01 40 46 95 34 - try to send in French, if possible, but they may understand written English). Not too shabby.
I am considering the Familia for next year when I go back to Paris with my husband.
Good hunting!
